Samuel Posada Sanchez is an exceptional student in the PCTI STEM Academy of Biomedical Life Sciences. His decision to pursue this CTE was inspired by a deep fascination with the human body—its functions, capabilities, and the possibilities it holds. From a young age, Samuel was curious about human anatomy, and his interest only grew stronger through his academic journey.
Being named Student of the Month is a profoundly meaningful achievement for Samuel. “It was honestly really amazing—it was a full circle moment. When I was a freshman, I would come into school and see Student of the Month and think, ‘I want that to be me.’ And now here I am as a senior being named Student of the Month, which is truly an honor,” he shared. With a remarkable GPA of 4.42, Samuel’s academic excellence reflects his dedication and hard work.
Throughout his years at PCTI STEM, Samuel has been an active leader and participant in numerous extracurricular activities. He currently serves as the President of the STEM Chapter of the World Language Honor Society and is a member of the Gifted and Talented Program. He has also competed in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) at both the regional and state levels and is a proud member of the National Honor Society.
Outside the classroom, Samuel enjoys spending quality time with his friends and his dog—going out to eat, visiting the park, taking walks, and relaxing while listening to music. His ability to balance academic rigor with meaningful downtime reflects his well-rounded character.
Looking ahead, Samuel has an extraordinary future in store. He was accepted to Princeton University through the QuestBridge program on a full scholarship. He plans to major in Chemical and Biological Engineering, pursue a Ph.D., and ultimately work in a laboratory setting. His goal is to create innovations in modern medicine—a vision fueled by a genuine love for science and discovery. “I’ll be happy being in a lab,” he shared enthusiastically.
Reflecting on how PCTI STEM shaped him, Samuel credits the program with providing not only academic challenges but also a deeply motivating environment. “Being a part of STEM helped shape me because I met so many amazing people that just motivated me to achieve my full potential. The teachers have been incredibly supportive, and the people I met are brilliant. Seeing what they do—and seeing you’re capable of doing the same—is really motivating.”
To the incoming freshman class, Samuel offers this heartfelt advice:
“Don’t worry. Stuff happens and it’s inevitable—you’re going to fall, you may embarrass yourself, but you just have to realize to not worry about it and just keep moving forward because that’s all that matters.”
Samuel, your drive and vision for the future are inspiring. We can’t wait to see the extraordinary impact you’ll make.
Congratulations!

I also love the details and layers that you put into a character and its story,” she explains.

Reflecting on her time at PCTI, Samantha shares how the school has helped her discover her own potential. “PCTI has shown me my true potential. I never realized how much potential I could have as a person or student until I came to this school.
