250

In honor of America's 250th anniversary, PCTVS celebrated the nation's rich history while reflecting on the evolution of Passaic County and the district's longstanding commitment to career and technical education.

Held on Friday, October 23, 2026, the special event, Celebrating 250: One Nation, One PCTVS, brought together students, faculty, staff, and guests for a celebration of history, education, and the arts.

The Main PCTI Gymnasium was transformed into a historical exhibit highlighting significant milestones in Passaic County's development and the history of PCTVS. Displays explored the county's people, industries, and innovations, while also tracing the district's growth and the evolution of its Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Through a look at CTE programs then and now, attendees gained a greater appreciation for how vocational education adapted over the years to meet the changing needs of students and the workforce.

The celebration also showcased the talents of PCTVS Performing Arts students through three special presentations in the PCTI Auditorium. Theatre students brought American history to the stage with a selection from the Broadway musical Hamilton, while Dance students presented a performance of their own. Vocal and Instrumental Music students also contributed musical performances, bringing another creative dimension to the celebration.

The event offered an opportunity for the PCTVS community to reflect on the people, achievements, and traditions that helped shape both Passaic County and the district. As the nation commemorated 250 years of independence, PCTVS celebrated its own place in that history while recognizing the generations of students and educators who helped build its legacy.
