20 years in the making.
In 2006, our girls swim program was just getting started. Today, for the first time in school history, we are North 1 – Group A State Champions.
For two decades it’s been within reach. Close finishes. Tough losses. Big dreams. And this year… they did it. They worked, they believed, they showed up and they won!
A huge congratulations to Head Coach Gen Wall for her incredible leadership, preparation, and the way she planned a strong, winning meet from start to finish. This championship is a reflection of your vision and dedication to this program.

PCTI Video Production juniors won big! 🎬🏒 Their documentary Dem Bulldogs earned first place in the Record High’s Rock Report Sports Feature competition... landing them behind-the-scenes access with Devils broadcaster Matthew Loughlin and the team’s players. They had the opportunity to film and interview Matt Loughlin about his career as a sports broadcaster, and shadowed him in the while he interviewed players in the Devil's locker room. Their final edit from today’s trip will air on the Jumbotron at the Devils’ March 8th game during Kids Weekend!
On Thursday, January 29th, PCTI STEM students competed against 9 other schools: Northern Highlands, Bernards, Mahwah, Westwood, Waldwick, Paramus, Bloomfield, Ramsey, and Springfield. Students where presented with an engineering problem that day and had just a few hours to brainstorm, research, complete physics problems, design, build and test a prototype as well as present to a panel of judges. PCTI STEM won 2nd place, just short 1 point from 1st place.

Proud moment for PCTVS
Ethan Naji, a Senior in PCTI STEM’s Computer Science program, is recognized as Athlete of the Month. A dedicated fencer and the Boys Sabre Captain, Ethan has been fencing for more than four years and competes year-round, including club fencing. This season, he’s been a consistent force, currently undefeated in the regular season and continues to build on an impressive competitive record.
Ethan’s favorite moment this year came during the team’s opener match, a rivalry showdown that went down to the wire. With the score tied 13–13 and the match decided by the first to reach 14, the team pulled off a hard-earned win after years of coming up short. For Ethan, that pressure-filled finish captured everything that makes the sport rewarding.
In school, Ethan is involved in the National Honor Society for STEM, the World Language Honor Society, and Engineering Club. Outside of competition, he also gives back to the sport as a coach at his fencing club, teaching beginner-level athletes. When he’s not fencing, he’s usually focused on school, gaming, or playing guitar.
Ethan credits his success to his parents, coaches, and teammates, and next year he plans to major in computer engineering.

Audrey Yi, a Senior in PCTI’s STEM Academy of Biomedical Life and Sciences, is January’s Athlete of the Month. A varsity fencing starter (foil), Audrey helped drive a standout year that included placing 12th in the state for Girls Foil, contributing to the Girls Fencing Team’s County Championship, and helping the Girls Foil Team earn second place in districts.
One of Audrey’s favorite memories during her time fencing for PCTI came at districts, when the entire squad, foil, sabre, and épée, bonded and supported one another throughout the day. The results were exciting, including a second-place overall finish and Audrey advancing to states, but what stood out most was the team-wide encouragement during challenging meets. She also credited her teammates—upperclassmen and underclassmen alike—along with her coaches and family for supporting her throughout the season.
Outside of school fencing, Audrey stays active through masters fencing and training with GFA Club Fencing, and she also participates in cross country and track & field. In addition, she serves as President of the World Language Honor Society, is involved in National Honor Society, FBLA, and HOSA, and is Co-Director of a nonprofit organization, Wayne Grounded. She’s also part of NJROTC as Head of Operations and participates in Color Guard and Drill Team.
Looking ahead, Audrey plans to pursue a pre-med track in college, with goals of medical school.

The Saturday PCTI Academy is a technology and academic enrichment program for 6th-8th-grade students residing in Passaic County. The program is offered at Passaic County Technical Institute on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the Spring semester. Students may choose from enrichment classes in mathematics, science, and pre-engineering, or explore the digital age. Others can gain knowledge in the exciting field of culinary arts, where they can learn the art of cake decorating or create meals while learning proper cooking and safety skills. Other hands-on courses are offered for students who may wish to choose acting or manicuring to learn proper nail care. Other students may wish to explore the healthcare field or participate in a leadership program. There is something for everyone at the Saturday PCTI Academy!

Students from PCTI STEM Academy Computer Science Club participated in the national Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, where they used STEM skills to address real-world community challenges. For the first time in school history, they were selected and earned $1,000 for PCTI STEM Academy — an incredible achievement and a proud moment for our school!

PCTI was proud to host a toy drive in support of children and families across the Passaic County community. Thanks to the generosity of our students, staff, and families, we were able to help spread joy during the holiday season.
PCTI proudly participated in Wreaths Across America, laying wreaths on the graves of fallen veterans to honor their service, remember their sacrifice, and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.
