Congratulations Athlete of the Month, Max Bernice!
Max, a senior in the PCTI Academy of Criminal Justice, competed on the varsity hockey team as a forward. A highlight of his athletic career was scoring the game-winning goal during counties, helping his team secure a three-peat title—an unforgettable moment made even more special by sharing it with his close friends. While hockey takes up most of his time, Max enjoys hanging out with his friends outside of practice and games.
As Max looks ahead, he plans to attend Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he will continue playing hockey at the collegiate level.
Max shares his appreciation: "Shoutout to my brothers, Carter and Jack, for always pushing me, my coaches, and my friends and family.”
Congratulations to Max Bernice!

Congratulations Athlete of the Month, Gianna McCloskey!
Gianna, a junior in the PCTI Academy of Criminal Justice, is a standout on the girls bowling team. This season, Gianna helped her team win counties back-to-back and qualified for the Tournament of Champions both as an individual and with her team. She proudly earned the highest series score for the section, taking home a personal trophy, and celebrated a season-high score of 233.
Aside from bowling, Giana is also on the PCTI softball team. She is deeply involved in her community—volunteering with the West Milford Special Olympics where she supports athletes with disabilities in bowling, track, and a weekend sleepaway camp focused on track and field. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending summers as a camp counselor, where she loves swimming, working with children, and being at the beach.
Gianna shares her gratitude: “Thanks to my coaches who put me in, I really appreciate it.”
Congratulations to Gianna McCloskey!
